植物营养与资源环境研究所始建于1958年，是北京市唯一从事农业资源环境与土壤肥料研究的科研机构，也是北京土壤学会挂靠单位。全所设有土壤研究室、肥料研究室、生态研究室、环境研究室和土壤肥料检测中心5个部门，人才结构合理，实验设备先进，科研平台丰富。主要研究方向包括新型肥料研发、植物营养与施肥、土壤培肥与改良、土壤污染与修复、废弃物资源化利用、面源污染监测与防控等。研究所立足北京，面向全国，为农业可持续生产和环境保护提供了有力科技支撑。

The Institute of Plant Nutrition, Resources and Environment (IPNRE), established in 1958, is the sole research institution in Beijing specializing in agricultural environment, soil science and fertilizer research. IPNRE also serves as the host organization for the Beijing Soil Science Society. The institute consists of five departments: the Soil Research Laboratory, the Fertilizer Research Laboratory, the Ecological Research Laboratory, the Environmental Research Laboratory, and the Soil and Fertilizer Testing Center. IPNRE boasts a well-balanced team of experts, state-of-the-art experimental facilities, and robust research platforms. Its core research areas include the development of innovative fertilizers, plant nutrition and fertilization technologies, soil fertility enhancement and improvement, soil pollution remediation, resource recycling of agricultural waste, and monitoring and control of non-point source pollution. Rooted in Beijing yet serving all of China, IPNRE plays a pivotal role in providing scientific and technological support for sustainable agricultural production and environmental protection.
